GoLogin Tutorial: Free Profiles, Proxy Setup and the Cloud Browser
A beginner's walkthrough of GoLogin's free plan: your first profile, a proxy check, consistent fingerprint settings, the cloud browser, team sharing and the refund terms.
GoLogin is one of the easier anti-detect browsers to try without commitment: the free plan gives you three browser profiles and doesn't ask for a card. This tutorial takes you from a fresh account to a working profile with a proxy attached, then covers the two features people most often ask about, the cloud browser and sharing profiles with a teammate, and finishes with the terms worth reading before you pay.
Two ground rules for this guide:
- Plan details and prices come from GoLogin's own site and were checked on 2026-10-05. GoLogin changes plans fairly often, so treat the official pricing page as the source of truth.
- GoLogin also updates its interface regularly. We describe what the features do and the general flow, but menu names and button positions may not match what you see.

What the free plan covers
| Free plan | Notes | |
|---|---|---|
| Profiles | 3 | Free forever, no card needed |
| Unique fingerprints | Yes | Each profile gets its own |
| Profile sharing | Not listed | Pricing page lists it from Professional 25 up |
| Cloud browser (web) | Mixed messaging | See the cloud browser section below |
| Paid-plan trial | 7 days | Shown on every paid plan |
If you outgrow it, annual billing is where GoLogin is cheapest: 10 profiles work out to $4.50/month billed yearly ($9 month-to-month), 50 profiles to $14.50/month and 100 profiles to $19.50/month. Full plan data is on our GoLogin provider page.
Three profiles is enough to follow every step below and learn how the pieces fit together.
Install GoLogin and create your first profile
- Sign up on GoLogin's website, download the desktop app and log in.
- Create a new profile and give it a name you'll still understand in three months, such as
US-StoreA-Ops. Once you have dozens of profiles, a naming convention matters more than any feature. - Choose the operating system. Ideally it matches the machine you actually use, or at least the device type that account has historically logged in from.
- Leave the other fingerprint parameters at their defaults for now and save.
Before you go further, start a simple tracking sheet with four columns: profile name, account, proxy, owner. It will save you hours later when you share profiles or debug a login problem.
Add a proxy and check it
Each GoLogin profile has a proxy section where you pick the protocol (HTTP or SOCKS5), enter the host, port, username and password, and run a connection check. If you aren't sure which protocol to choose, see SOCKS5 vs HTTP proxies.
For learning the workflow, a free or cheap proxy is fine:
- Webshare gives every account 10 free datacenter proxies with no card required. The dashboard lists each proxy's address, port and credentials, which you can paste straight into GoLogin.
- ProxyWing has no free trial, but datacenter IPs start at $0.87 per IP per month (mixed countries) and ISP proxies at $1.71/month, as listed on 2026-10-05. Sticky sessions run up to 1,000 minutes, or 7 days on Premium, and it accepts WeChat Pay and 100+ cryptocurrencies.
One caveat: datacenter IPs are fine for practice and testing, but they're the wrong tool for long-lived business accounts. For real work, use a static residential or ISP IP in the same country as the account. Our static ISP proxy comparison walks through the options.
Once the check passes, launch the profile and open an IP lookup site. The IP and country shown should match your proxy. For a fuller checklist covering blacklists, IP type, WebRTC and DNS, see how to check if a proxy IP is clean.
Fingerprint settings: consistency beats randomness
A common beginner mistake is to randomize every setting. What platforms actually look at is whether the whole picture makes sense:
- Time zone, language and geolocation should follow the IP. A US IP with a Shanghai system time zone is an obvious mismatch. In most cases, let these values be derived from the proxy automatically.
- Operating system and user agent should agree. If you picked Windows, don't paste in a macOS user agent.
- WebRTC shouldn't expose your real IP. After launch, use a leak-test page to confirm WebRTC reports the proxy IP.
- One profile, one IP. Don't bounce an account between countries from day to day.
Remember the limits, too. An anti-detect browser controls the browser layer only. Account details, payment methods and how you behave on the platform are outside its reach.
Launching a cloud browser profile
GoLogin's distinctive feature is its cloud browser: the browser runs on a remote server rather than your computer, so a profile keeps working when your laptop is closed and a distributed team doesn't need one shared machine. GoLogin says cloud sessions keep their cookies, storage and fingerprint between runs, can be controlled through a web interface, and can also be driven by Playwright or Puppeteer.
Which plans include it is less clear, because GoLogin's own pages disagree:
- The main pricing page lists "Cloud Browser via web" on Professional 50 and higher.
- The cloud browser product page describes free access with a small allowance of included time.
Our advice: once you're logged in, check what your account actually includes, or try a cloud launch during the 7-day paid trial before you upgrade for this feature alone.
Sharing profiles with teammates
When someone else needs access, use GoLogin's sharing and team features instead of handing over your account password. According to the pricing page, profile sharing starts at Professional 25; it isn't listed on the free plan or Professional 10.
Before you share, decide three things:
- Does the teammate need to use the profile or edit it?
- How will you revoke access when someone changes role or leaves?
- Who opens which profile when? Two people running the same profile at once leads to session conflicts.
Before you upgrade
| Term | What GoLogin states |
|---|---|
| Trial | 7-day free trial on paid plans |
| Refunds | 14-day money-back guarantee, except crypto payments |
| Payment | PayPal, card, crypto and some regional methods |
| Support languages | Limited Chinese-language support |
| Mobile | Android app only, no iOS |
The crypto exclusion matters: if you might want a refund, pay by card or PayPal.
Stay inside the platform's rules
Profiles are for accounts you legitimately operate. Whether a platform allows multiple accounts, and what verification it requires, is set by the platform, not by your browser. Our guide to multiple Amazon seller accounts starts from exactly that question. No tool can promise that a profile is "undetectable."
