How to Choose an Anti-Detect Browser: 6 Things to Compare, with AdsPower vs GoLogin

What anti-detect browsers actually do, the six things that matter when you compare them, and how AdsPower and GoLogin stack up on each one.

If you manage multiple e-commerce stores or social media accounts, you'll eventually need an anti-detect browser. The problem is that every product's landing page makes the same promises. Here are the six things worth comparing, and how two popular options, AdsPower and GoLogin, measure up on each.

What an anti-detect browser does

A normal browser reveals a lot about your device: operating system, screen size, installed fonts, graphics rendering quirks (Canvas and WebGL), timezone and language. Combined, that's your browser fingerprint, and it lets websites recognize that several accounts are being run from the same computer.

An anti-detect browser lets you create many isolated browser profiles on one machine:

  • Each profile has its own fingerprint, so it looks like a different computer
  • Each profile keeps its own cookies and storage
  • Each profile can be bound to its own proxy

That's why anti-detect browsers and proxies go together: the browser handles the device, the proxy handles the network. If you're unsure which proxy type to pair with it, start with our guide to residential vs ISP vs mobile vs datacenter proxies.

Six things to compare

1. Fingerprint quality

This is what you're paying for. Fingerprints need to be realistic and consistent: no contradictions (a Mac profile reporting Windows-only fonts, for example), and the browser core should keep pace with Chrome releases.

How to check: during a trial, open a profile and run it through fingerprint testers such as BrowserLeaks or Pixelscan. Look for anything flagged as inconsistent.

2. Team collaboration

Essential once more than one person is involved. Can you assign profiles to team members, restrict what they can do (use but not export, no password visibility), and review activity logs?

3. Automation

Does it offer RPA (visual automation flows) or an API? For repetitive work, this alone can save hours every day.

4. Cloud phones

App-first platforms like TikTok sometimes need a real mobile environment. Some vendors bundle cloud phones or cloud Android devices, so you can manage web and app sessions in one place.

5. Pricing structure

Most plans are tiered by number of profiles and team seats. Check which tier your profile count lands in, what overages cost, and whether there's a free plan or trial.

6. Support and payment options

Response times, documentation quality, and whether the payment methods you need are supported.

Our recommendations

  • Just starting out: get your workflow running on a free plan first. GoLogin gives you 3 profiles, AdsPower 2; either is enough to test.
  • E-commerce teams with lots of repetitive tasks: try AdsPower first and see whether its RPA covers your routine work.
  • Lots of app-based work (TikTok and similar): GoLogin's cloud Android lets you handle web and app in one place.
  • International teams, or you'd rather not run profiles on your own machine: GoLogin's cloud browser.
  • Many profiles on monthly billing: AdsPower is cheaper at 50+ profiles.

Trial both if you can. Use the same proxy and the same fingerprint testers on each, compare the results, then go with the one your team finds easier to work in.

Don't forget the proxy

An anti-detect browser only isolates the device. If every profile shares one IP, or uses an easily flagged datacenter IP, the isolation is largely wasted. For the full setup, see How to Manage Multiple TikTok Accounts Safely.
